Plan a Trip
Drop me a line.
Tell me what you’re dreaming up. It doesn’t have to be fully formed.
You can start with a destination, a vague idea, a group of people, a celebration, a date, a feeling, or the hotels you saved on Instagram. You don’t need it all figured out before you reach out. That part’s on me.
Some of my favorite starting points sound like this:
“We want to hike somewhere beautiful, eat really well, and end the trip somewhere by the sea.”
“It’s a milestone birthday, the whole group is in, and not one of us has time to plan the trip we deserve.”
“We need our team to come back from the offsite with skills that still show up in their work six months later.”
“I finally have a month off. I want to come home rested and still talking about it.”
Sending this isn’t a commitment to book. It’s just the start of a conversation, and I’ll get back to you within two days to set up a call. Rather write it your own way? Email me at lo.shelton@fora.travel.
Someone who’s actually been there.
AI can hand you a list of 40 hotels. It can’t tell you which one looks better online than in person, which hut actually gets the sunset, or that the restaurant everyone recommends closed last spring. I’ve been to the places I recommend, and I’ll narrow it down to the few worth your time.
Book your hotel through me and you often get breakfast, a hotel credit, or an upgrade, usually for the same price as booking direct. I can often get you a better rate on a rental car, too. And if a train gets canceled halfway through your trip, you text me, not a chatbot.
Bring your opinions too. Send me the hotels and restaurants you’ve saved, and I’ll help turn them into a trip that works.
“I stayed in Mexico City for an extended trip, and Lo really delivered on showing me the breadth and diversity of the city. She keeps her ear to the ground and unearthed experiences I imagine only locals know about: an intimate living room concert series, electric art week festivities and a relaxing weekend in a pueblo mágico in the mountains. All thanks to Lo!”

HOW IT WORKS
01
Send me the idea.
Start wherever you are. A rough idea is plenty.
02
We talk through what matters.
A quick call about who’s coming, how you like to travel, and the pace that suits you.
03
I develop the trip.
I sort through the options, figure out what’s worth it, and come back with a plan where the pieces fit together. You tell me what catches your eye, and we shape it from there.
04
I handle the details.
Bookings, logistics, timing, and all the small things, so you’re not spending your evenings comparing hotel reviews or getting the whole group to agree on a restaurant.
05
You go.
You get to enjoy the trip. If something changes along the way, like a delayed flight or a missed transfer, you’ll have a real person to text who already knows your trip, instead of a call center.

No. Hotels pay me a commission, so you usually pay the same rate as booking direct, often with perks like daily breakfast, a hotel credit, or an upgrade when one’s available. Already found one? Send me the name and your dates and I’ll check. If booking direct is the better deal, I’ll tell you.
-
Send me what you were going to book with your card and I’ll tell you which way comes out ahead. If your rate is refundable, I’ll also keep an eye on it and rebook you if the price drops.
-
Planning covers everything beyond the hotel booking: comparing options, figuring out where to stay, building an itinerary that hangs together, and being there if something changes. I’ll walk you through the fee upfront, before any planning begins.

Fora is the travel agency I book through. I run 4x6 Trips myself, and Fora gives me booking tools, supplier support, and access to hotel partner programs and advisor rates on rental cars, which is where perks like breakfast, upgrades, and rental car discounts come from. You can also find me on my Fora profile.
Hotels are free. Planning is quoted after a quick call.
Your turn to send one.
